Steps to get on the ShaleNET Program

1. Complete EGCC Training Application and ShaleNET Questionnaire - Must create a login, password and complete the ShaleNET Questionnaire by visiting www.shalenet.org/talentmatch.  You Must login each time you visit the site.

2. Must Obtain the following Clearances - Physical, Drug Test, Driving Record/History Report, Criminal Background Check.  After results of the above clearances are received, proceed to step three. 

3. Establish WIA Eligibility - Only after you have received your results from step two and you have completed the ShaleNET Questionnaire in step one will you contact Mike McGlumphy with the Workforce Investment Act at 740-282-0971 ext. 139 to establish WIA Eligibility.

MAC Trailers in Northeast Ohio  that manufacturers  specialty tanks and tank trailers used in the oil and gas industry, is ramping up to hire 10 people per week to meet the demand for their products in Shale Gas drilling.  The jobs are welders and fabricators.  The welding is specialized, not just regular welding.

TRG Customer Solutions 

About 100 new entry-level jobs are being added by TRG Customer Solutions, a worldwide outsourcing firm that already has 300 workers in Pittsburgh.

The jobs, which begin at $11.50 an hour plus bonus, with increases after 90 days up to $13.50 an hour plus bonus, are for inbound customer service/sales agents for a Fortune 100 telecommunications company. The positions are at TRG's Pittsburgh center, which is in the RIDC Park West, near the Pittsburgh International Airport.
